Mass of Baphomet: An Illuminates of Baphomet Ritual

 

 

This rite can be preformed by an individual or a group. The purpose of this rite is to make contact with the spirit of Baphomet. In doing so we ask Baphomet to help us kindle the Inner Black flame.

Each member should begin with a moment of silence. This will help clear the mind in order to make your communion with Baphomet more intense.

Let the aspirant set up an alter to the God of his or her own choice, according to his or her own will.

Let the aspirant perform a banishing rite according to his or her knowledge and experience.

Let the Aspirant observe a period of silent meditation.

Let the Aspirant perform the Ritual of the Black Flame.

After the Aspirant has called each of the quarters, let him or her invoke the powers of Chaos, using the following Enochian Call.

If this rite is preformed within a group. The priest says the lines of the Enochian Call, and the members follow the lines of the call with the English translation. If the Aspirant is performing the rite alone, he or she will intone the Enochian Call without the English translation.

The Priest or Aspirant traces the Eight pointed star of Chaos, and should see it burning brightly above the temple. As the Enochian Call is said the Priest and all who are assembled should visualize the Star burning brighter.

This last line cannot be translated.

 

Each Aspirant should take a moment to feel the effects of the above intonation. When ready the Priest or Aspirant should perform an invocation to Baphomet. The Priest should envision himself becoming Baphomet and feel its energy moving within him or her.

The Priest or Aspirant should trace a large inverted pentagram and visualize it flaming around them. If this rite is preformed within a group setting, each participant should see the pentagram burning brighter around the Priest as the invocation is spoken.

The Invocation of Baphomet:

 

In the first aeon, I was known as the Great Spirit.

In the second aeon, men knew me as the Horned God, Pan genitor Pan phage.

In the third aeon, I was The Dark One, The Devil.

In the fourth aeon, men knew me not, for I am The Hidden One.

In this new aeon, I appear before you as Baphomet. The God before all gods, who shall endure until the ends of the Earth.

 

The Priest or Aspirant can perform any works of magick that is the focus of the ritual.

When finish the Aspirant, or group should close the Temple as they see fit.

I would encourage all Illuminates of our order to be creative while performing this rite. Fell free to change it and make your own.

This Rite is used within the Illuminates of Baphomet in order to give its members a more personal relationship with Baphomet, and the Daemons of the Pit.
